I watched an interesting message from Ramson Mumba about relationships.
Among the many pointers he gave he said:
- People don’t always reject you because of who you are; they reject you because of who they are.
- If you know who you are, you don’t care about what other people are saying about you … good or bad, because they don’t define you.
- Anytime somebody can define you, they will also confine you.
- If you rather be anybody else but yourself, you have issues with your self esteem.
If you would rather be like somebody else as opposed to yourself then you have issues with self rejection. Self rejection is one of the greatest causes of sicknesses and is the bedrock of all autoimmune disorders. If you don’t like yourself, your body will start working against itself.
The bottom-line is that the Bible states we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139: 14)
When dealing with rejection, understand that God has accepted you completely … just the way you are.
