For each of us, there will always be moments when we are at the right place at the right time. These moments are opportunities for us to do and say things to improve circumstances for ourselves and for others.
Today I encourage you to seize the moment … be ready to learn, to assist, to cheer. “Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.” (Phil. 2:4 MSG)
A stanza from the 16th century love poem by Robert Herrick also states:
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today
Tomorrow will be dying.
When asked to play, he joined young Phillip in a game of ball.
