Tips For Employees

Today I start working in the Accounts section of a small church office and I’m very excited. Even though my stay will be for a short time, I intend to do my best.

Over my years of employment, I’ve learned the importance of maintaining certain principles or work ethics, which are valuable for success.  These include:

  • Punctuality
  • Appearance
  • Responsibility
  • Integrity & Loyalty
  • Team Work
  • Positive Attitude
  • Professionalism

As we embrace our calling to work, remember:

  • God created work (Gen 2:15). Work is necessary (2Thes 3:10).  Work develops character; and in all work there is dignity.
  • God gives skill (Matt 25:15). God gives success (Gen 39:2 – 3) and God gives promotion (Psalm 75:6 – 7).
  • We should work hard. Nb. We should stop making up excuses for not working (Eccl 9:10). We should operate with excellence (Prov 22:29) and we should represent Christ (Dan 6:20).
