During the rainy season, we are used to seeing our roadway transformed into a river. This “river” doesn’t last for very long, since the rain water runs off the hillside into the gullies below.Today was different, our road was transformed into a muddy stream while a broken pipe was being repaired in our neighbourhood. Our water was locked off for most of the morning, and traffic flow was reduced to a single lane at a certain section of the roadway. There were workmen and heavy duty tractors at work.
Eventually the repairs were completed and we happily carried on with our daily tasks of showering, cooking and cleaning.
We thank God that we have clean, running water in our pipes.
