Welcoming Raindrops

The dump at the Riverton City landfill has always been set ablaze over the years; but this week’s major fire is the worst we have ever seen it.

As a matter of fact, starting from Wednesday night, our neighbourhood – which is located approx. six miles away at an elevation of 429 metres (1,407 ft.), is all covered in smog. This is a first, and I understand that this smog is also seen in areas farther away from us.

But thank God, today we welcome long-awaited rains which we hope will cleanse the atmosphere and allow us to breathe better. raindrops amids smogI hope these rains will also quench the fires at Riverton City.
