Photo – Tree Snail on Snake Plant

One attractive family of snails living around our yard is the Lined Tree snail (Orthalicus reses); these snails are also called Stock Island Tree snails. I understand that they don’t spend all their lives in trees. They also, are not agricultural pests, and may be beneficial since they feed on epiphytic growths.
