Photo – Golden Pothos

We have several Golden Pothos vines (Epipremnum aureum or Scindapsus aureus) growing around the back of our home; they are also found growing in all our neighbours’ yards. Goldent Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)The Golden Pothos has glossy, heart-shaped, green leaves streaked with gold; but this variegation may become less intense in low light.

It is interesting to note that the size of the leaves for this plant will vary based on where it is rooted. Pothos growing in shallow soil and in vases will have smaller leaves than those Pothos vines growing outdoors. I also read that in bright light, the leaves will become quite large. Goldent Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) The Golden Pothos is easy to grow and care; they tolerate full sun to light shade, and require moderate watering. These plants make attractive hanging baskets, and will brighten up your table and office desk when grown in a bowl or vase.

When grown inside, the Golden Pothos is efficient at removing indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, xylene, and benzene. Please note however, that the Golden Pothos vine is toxic to cats and dogs.Goldent Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
