Photo – Withered flowers of the Orchid Cactus (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) the morning after it bloomed. Is this how you see yourself the morning after an awesome, electrifying, and wonderful experience? Do you feel withered? Used? Disappointed? Ugly? Having no self-worth?
If you answered ‘YES’ to any of the questions above, you will need to change the thoughts you have about yourself. You are of more value than your experiences – whether good or bad. A hundred dollar bill is still worth one hundred dollars even after you frame it; or even after you crush it, trample upon it, and rub it in dirt.
So is it with you. You are not your experiences, you are not what others think about you. You are more than all the stuff you’re going through right now.
So you may ask yourself “Who am I?”
Answer: You are the sum-product of your thoughts. My dear . . . you are made in the image and likeness of God; you are wonderfully and fearfully made. YOU are special and beautiful in God’s eyes, and God loves you just as you are.
Regardless of your past experiences, regardless of your current circumstances, God still thinks about you; and the thoughts that he has of you are more than the sand of the sea.
God knows you, he even knows the number of hairs on your head; and his plans for your life are about bringing you peace and not destruction, to give you a profitable future. So . . . So . . .
Raise your head.
Think about yourself as how GOD sees you.
Ask God to help you.
Believe in God.
Smile . . . God is for you, and he is working on you.
