Day 4 – Flowering Jamaican Royal Palm

On day four, we observe that the branches on the flower stalk of our Royal Palm are spreading wider and wider, as expected. Roystonea altissimaI read that Royal Palms are very fond of water; they require consistently moist soil which should not be allowed to dry out between waterings. This afternoon, we had a lovely downpour of rain, which we, and all our plants enjoyed.
