These are a few photos of the Katydid (Tettigoniidae) after I killed it. We really don’t like having this kind of insect in, or around our home. Katydid (Tettigoniidae) The katydid is a member of the insect order Orthoptera – of grasshoppers, crickets, katydids, and locusts. It is one of the species of American large green long-horned grasshoppers with wings that look like leaves. Katydid (Tettigoniidae) Some kaytdids are considered pests by commercial crop growers and are sprayed to limit populations.
